Nicer weather is giving road crews around Lake Tahoe a chance to start their annual maintenance duties, and beginning on Monday, April 24, Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will be working on State Route 28.
Motorists should anticipate travel delays up to 30 minutes as the road is restriped from Monday through Thursday, April 27. Work hours are between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily.
The mobile road striping operation is scheduled to begin at the State Route 28/U.S. 50 Spooner junction on Monday and then move westward to Nevada-California state line over the following days.
Drivers are reminded to drive safely and not illegally pass in road work zones. This road improvement is subject to change based on weather or other factors.
