South Lake Tahoe forecast: Mid-70s as highs by end of the week

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A high-pressure system will start to build over the West Coast starting Monday with warming temperatures each day. Temperatures by next weekend will be soaring into the upper 80s across western Nevada with the upper 70s in the Sierra, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.
The NWS forecast for South Lake Tahoe:
Monday - Increasing clouds, with a high near 64. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night - Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 34. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Tuesday - Sunny, with a high near 68. Light southwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday - Sunny, with a high near 67. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 35.
Thursday - Sunny, with a high near 71.
Thursday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 39.
Friday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 75.
Friday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 42.
Saturday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 76.
Saturday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43.
Sunday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 73.
