COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

There were no new cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County Wednesday and the total number of cases for the county since the pandemic started is 111. There were no new recoveries but the hospitalized patient was released.

To date, there have been 87 recoveries, leaving 24 active cases at this time.

An additional 199 people were able to be tested since Tuesday, bringing the total of tests to 7,368.

There have been 52 cases in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting two new positive cases and five additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 244, with 175 recoveries and seven deaths, 62 cases remain active.

The new cases are:
• A female Douglas County resident in her 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 20’s with connection to a previously reported case.

Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

Washoe County

The Regional Information Center is reporting 40 additional recoveries from COVID-19 in Washoe County. There have been an additional 44 COVID-19 cases in Washoe County since Tuesday.

There have been 22 cases of COVID-19 in Incline Village to date, with three active ones, and one case in Crystal Bay but that person has since recovered.

There have been 10 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Tuesday with no new ones in the Lake Tahoe area.
