COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County health officials announced Wednesday there have been 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since yesterday, nine in the Lake Tahoe Region, three in El Dorado Hills and one in the Cameron Park, Shingle Springs, Rescue area.
Of the new cases, one is under 18, nine are ages 18-49 and three are aged 50-64.
There were 42 new tests administered in the county, bringing that total to 14,833.
Two people remain hospitalized in the ICU. There are no suspected cases in Barton or Marshall hospitals.
There have been an estimated eight new recoveries, leaving 161 active cases.
County-wide there have been 363 cases with 179 of those in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon
Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting five new positive cases and sixteen additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 479, with 338 recoveries and eight deaths, 133 cases remain active.
The new cases are:
• A male Lyon County resident in his 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Douglas County resident in her 20’s with a social connection to an out of state case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 70’s with a connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Carson City resident in his 70’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

Washoe County
The Regional Information Center is reporting 27 new COVID-19 cases and two new deaths in Washoe County since Monday.
Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 3,810 (+94 from 7/14)
Deaths: 99 (+1)
Estimated recoveries: 2,562 (+50)
Active cases: 1,149 (+43)
Currently hospitalized: 81 (-1)
Cases who have discharged from hospital: 289 (+0)
52 (+2) of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 15 (+2) active ones, and one recovered case in Crystal Bay.
Placer County
There have been 16 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Tuesday, with one of those new cases in the Lake Tahoe area.
Their seven-day test rate is 6 percent positive, and 14-day case rate is 111.2 per 100,000.
1,151 cases (+16) with 74 (+1) in the Lake Tahoe area
Hospitalized - 46 (+1) with 11 (+1) in ICU
Deaths - 11 (+0)
Negative test results - 29,456 (+183)
Likely recoveries - 851 (+37)
Nevada County
There were five new cases of COVID-19 in Nevada County with one of those in the Truckee area.
