COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County health officials have announced 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19. Five are in the Lake Tahoe region, two in El Dorado Hills, two in Placerville, two in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, one in Pollock Pines/Camino/Kyburz. Of those new cases, three are male, nine are female, seven are aged 18-49, three aged 50-64, two aged 65+.
Three are 7 new recoveries and 134 active cases.
One more person has been hospitalized in the ICU, bringing that total to three. There are no additional suspected cases in the hospital.
County-wide there have been 280 cases with 142 of those in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Quad-Counties - Carson City, Douglas, Storey, Lyon
Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting eleven new positive cases and twenty-one additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 423, with 292 recoveries and eight deaths, 123 cases remain active.
The new cases are:
• A male Lyon County resident in his 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Lyon County resident in his 80’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 70’s who attended a social gathering.
• A female Lyon County resident in her 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 20’s with a connection to a previous case.
• A male Carson City resident in his 40’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A male Lyon County resident in his 30’s with no connection to a previously reported case.
• A female Carson City resident in her 20’s with a recent travel history.
• A male Douglas County resident in his 40’s with a connection to out of state travelers.
• A female Carson City resident in her 30’s with a connection to a previous case.
• A male Carson City resident in his 30’s with a connection to a previous case.
Carson City Health and Human Services is working to identify close risk contacts to prevent further spread of the disease. Due to medical privacy requirements and to protect their identity, no further information about the cases will be released.

Washoe County
The Regional Information Center is reporting 131 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths in Washoe County since Wednesday.
Total COVID-19 cases in Washoe County: 3,459 (+131 from 7/8)
Deaths: 89 (+4)
Recoveries: 2,248 (+78)
Active cases: 1,122 (+49)
Currently hospitalized: 82 (-6)
Cases who have discharged from hospital: 256 (+12)
45 (+2) of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 10 (+0) active ones, and one recovered case in Crystal Bay.
Placer County
There have been 23 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County since Wednesday, with none of those new cases in the Lake Tahoe area.

Nevada County
There were eight new cases of COVID-19 in Nevada County with three of those in the Truckee area.
