9th annual South Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Festival

The ninth annual South Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Festival will be a weekend full of great food, fine wine and high spirits at Harrah's and Harveys Lake Tahoe, Oct. 26 - 28, 2018

Events for this year’s Food and Wine Festival include lots of dining and tasting experiences, plus a rare Tahoe performance by Night Ranger. Food and wine are the always the biggest stars and a spectacular Grand Market Expo will be featuring sumptuous dishes from Harrah’s, Harveys and other Caesars Entertainment properties’ best restaurants, plus top-shelf spirits and the finest wines of Napa Valley and beyond – highlights the weekend.

Activities begin Friday evening, Oct. 26, with a Whiskey Tasting at Cliché Lounge on the 16th floor of Harrah’s hotel. Enjoy tasting a variety of whiskeys from around the world, which are “Crafted,” using different processes to create amazing varieties of whiskey.

Later that night, a Food & Wine Kick-Off Party takes place at PEEK Nightclub at Harrah’s featuring drink specials and great music. In the spirit of the season, the theme of Friday night will be “Dia de Los Muertos.” Admission is free for ladies and only ten bucks for gentlemen.

The South Lake Tahoe Food and Wine Festival kicks into high gear on Saturday, Oct. 27 with the Grand Market Expo located in the Special Events Center at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe. Stroll through the Grand Market and enjoy ongoing, interactive entertainment and the multifarious tastes of Harrah’s best restaurants from around the country, plus local favorites, top-shelf spirits, craft brews and the best wineries in Napa Valley and throughout California.

The Grand Market Expo, open from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, promises to be a fun-filled afternoon of high spirits and culinary delights.

Additional events on Saturday evening include a special performance by rock legends Night Ranger in Harrah’s South Shore Room.

If that’s not enough, enjoy a wild Halloween party at the “Tahoe Horror Story Party” at PEEK Nightclub. Some of the best regional DJ’s will be spinnin’ and the spirits of the season will be flowin’ from 10:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Admission for this combo Halloween and Food & Wine Fest party is $10 for ladies and $20 for gents.

On Sunday, the Farewell Champagne Brunch takes place at Harrah’s award-winning, 18th floor Forest Buffet, featuring great food and panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe. Enjoy crepes and omelets made to order, traditional breakfast delights, specialty salads, fresh fruits and our extraordinary French Pastry Bar, and so much more!
