Lake Tahoe author Jennifer Quashnick will be launching her newest book "Sierra Nevada River of Lies" at Bonafide Books in Meyers on November 7 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Her newest book is the second one in Quashnick's Mountaingirl series which was started off by "Sierra Nevada Trail of Murder."
A description of the newest story: An offer to help someone in need leaves Rachel Winters and her friends in the killer’s sights as they slowly unravel a multi-layered scheme for profit. Meanwhile, a discovery about Luke Reed’s long-lost family threatens them both.
What do the gruesome murder of a young college student, a missing professor, a submerged car, and an attempted carjacking have in common?
Find out along with Rachel; her dog, Bella; and Luke as they become embroiled in a murderous plot in the Sierra Nevada, spanning from Mammoth Lakes to Susanville, California.
Quashnick holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Health and has spent over fifteen years advocating for scientifically supported policy-making to protect Lake Tahoe’s environment and rural communities. She also makes a point to spend regular time hiking with her dog, Bella, refreshed by the beauty of the Sierra Nevada and the joy of being outdoors.
Her books are available at Bonafide Books which is located at 1069 Magua Street #4 in Meyers.
