The Loft at Heavenly Village has been in the works for months, and now it's just a few weeks from opening day on December 15.
The new indoor, year-round live theater is in a newly created space above the current Heavenly Village Cinemas created by PR Entertainment. It will include a bar and lounge, 107 seat theater and Italian restaurant featuring Chef Lisa Devenchezi-Miller, who also owns of Capisce? in South Lake Tahoe.
"Magic Fusion," an illusion show starring Tony Clark, will make The Loft Theater home starting December 19, 2015. Clark, who started in Illusion Fusion, will have ten all-ages shows a week, Thursday through Tuesdays.
Clark has received the Magician of the Year award from the International Magicians Society twice, has been featured on some of televisions biggest specials, including NBC's World’s Most Dangerous Magic, ABC's Masters of Illusion, as well as numerous television appearances.
The restaurant is open during the performance. Dinner is served seven nights a week, with happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m., and food served until 2 a.m. The upscale living room-style lounge area has overstuffed couches, sectionals, private rooms and fireplaces. With signature cocktails, craft brews, fine wines, and a full bar, drinks will disappear.
“This opportunity didn’t appear out of thin air – it’s been a long-term goal to have a all-inclusive entertainment venue with a live theatre with a magic themed production show, lounge, and restaurant for guests and locals to enjoy year-round,” said Paul Reder, president of PR Entertainment. “Our partnerships with The Shops at the Heavenly Village and Heavenly Mountain Resort ensures a long-standing establishment in our community that benefits visitors and locals.”
“This is perfect timing for the holidays and winter ski season as South Shore will have its first live theatre right here in the Heavenly Village,” said Gary Casteel, developer and operator of The Shops at the Heavenly Village. “In the epicenter of the new South Lake Tahoe/Stateline downtown district, we offer guests value-added family activities and activities for all ages, only-in-Tahoe shops, including top-rated dining, events and live performances all within walking distance from numerous upscale lodging properties.”
Groups, conferences and service clubs can access The Loft Theatre for meeting and corporate retreats.
The Loft Theatre is the first venue to have direct access from the third floor parking garage. Guests can also enter from the main entrance located from the Village, down the walk-way from Starbucks. The Loft Theatre offers all guest discount garage parking for $1/hour (reg. $3.75).
