The Business of Bookkeeping & Budgeting Workshop

Tahoe Chamber, in partnership with the City of South Lake Tahoe and Mann, Urrutia, Nelson CPAs, is offering The Business of Budgeting & Bookkeeping workshop for business owners on December 2 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Workshop topics include the role bookkeeping plays in running a business, the basic accounting equation, the duality of accounting, the Chart of Account, types of accounts and financial statements, budgeting for start-up costs, capital investment needs and future operations, pricing strategies, seasonality scenarios, sales projections and "what-if" scenarios using projected income statements, statements of cash flows and balance sheets. The workshop also discusses potential legal concerns and what legal structure is appropriate for a business.
