Weather - Winter Weather Advisory until noon today. Lake wind advisory remains in effect from 1 pm this afteroon to midnight. South Lake Tahoe will have a high of 36 and a low of 30. Today: Snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 36. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tonight: Snow before 4am, then a chance of rain and snow. Low around 30. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Heavenly - Powder conditions. 79% of their terrain is now open which means 3800 acres, 26 lifts and 92 runs are open. 4" new snow in the last 24 hours. The base depth is 44". Lift status. Snow likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. Very windy, with a west wind 30 to 40 mph increasing to 45 to 55 mph. Winds could gust as high as 80 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Special statement from Heavenly: We received 1-2" of new snow overnight and a total of 15" over the past week. Today's forecast calls for snow showers, mainly between 10am and 4pm, with new snow accumulation of around 1 to 2 inches! Today's high will be near 28°. It is expected to be very windy today, with strong SW winds and strong gusts that may impact lift operations, so please stay tuned for updates on lift operations. Weather permitting; we have 25 lifts that are scheduled to spin from 8:30am-4:00pm via four mountain access points - The Heavenly Gondola, the CA Main Lodge, Stagecoach Lodge, and now Boulder Lodge.

Sierra-at-Tahoe - Powder. Groomed conditions on 27 of their 39 open trails. 9 lifts are open. Broadway Terrain Park, Upper Snowshoe and Burton Progression Park are open. 10" new snow in the last 24 hours. The base depth is 25" and the summit is 43". Lift status. Snow likely, mainly after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Southwest wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Kirkwood - Powdered/Packed powder. 100% of terrain is now open. All 2300 acres are open with 10 lifts and 86 runs open. 4" new snow in the last 24 hours. Lift status. The base depth is 41". Snow likely, mainly after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Southwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
