They will be in Student Services on June 1 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., the school's flex/lunchtime, as well as after school until 5 p.m. on the same date.
This is the only time Sidestreet will be on campus for measurements to secure an order for a rental before prom. Payments are required at the time of order.
Change to South Lake Tahoe arts and craft show ordinance in the works

The conference was focused on promoting positive relationships, school climate and culture, and safety for all students.
The LTESMS team was comprised of teachers from various grade levels, elementary site counselors, and the school's principal.
They used the unique opportunity at the conference to expand their knowledge and come back to share their insights with colleagues, students, and the community.

The Tahoe Valley Talent Show will begin at 6 p.m. at the Tahoe Valley School Theater and is free and open to the public. The Talent Show features the unique talents of 3rd-5th grade students, along with a staff act. This is the annual fundraiser for the Tahoe Valley Scholarship.

Many new mothers experience "baby blues:” feelings of sadness, impatience, or irritability after birth that last for a week or two. For some women, feelings of sadness are much more intense and elongated. These intense feelings are called postpartum depression, or PPD.

So far, forty shows have been booked for the stage located between two of the village's restaurants, Fire and Ice and Gunbarrel Tavern.
The Heavenly Village Concert Series (HVSCS) runs through Labor Day. Show times are 5:45 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. and shows are free to the public.

Waves 1 to 3 feet with the highest waves from mid-lake to north and east shores.
There are additional chances for showers and thunderstorms across northeast California and northwest Nevada Monday with chances spreading farther south on Tuesday before warmer and drier conditions settle in after midweek, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno.

12th annual Game Time Basketball Camp returns to South Lake Tahoe for ages 7-18

The camp is held at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Swim Complex, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd.
This year's basketball camp is open to ages 7-18, both boys and girls from beginners to advanced.

Sidestreet Boutique will be on the STHS campus to take measurements on May 8, 9, 11, and 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and May 10 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Orders can be made at that time. Then, tuxedos and suits can be paid for and picked up on May 16 and 18 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and May 17 from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

This will be a free one-stop shopping event where students and businesses can connect on the spot.
The job fair is being held at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe (1100 Lyons Ave., South Lake Tahoe).

City Council prioritizes becoming a charter city over other new taxes for funding affordable housing

Many members of the public spoke on the subject, providing ideas and input on the current housing situation and solutions.
There was no vote on this item, just guidance from the Council to staff on how they'd like them to proceed on the next steps.

September 30, 2023 - 7:30pm Tahoe WordWave is the culmination of an annual one-act play writing competition. The best three submissions will be selected from more than 100 entries and presented as full productions each night at the event. The playwrights are invited to attend the event to see their play come to life on the stage. During the audience question and answer period they will discuss the circumstances and social influences that led them to write the play, as well as their feelings seeing it performed on the Boathouse Theatre stage!

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and El Dorado County Behavioral Health in South Lake Tahoe is inviting the community to meet the staff and learn about county and local behavioral health programs and resources during a special community Open House event.
The Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the county Behavioral Health offices, located at 1900 Lake Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe. The event will include special guest speakers, informational tables and resources, and light refreshments.

Practitioners at this location will diagnose and treat mild injuries and illnesses, such as lacerations, sprains, coughs, colds, fever, earaches, and urinary tract infections.
Labs and medical imaging are not available at Barton Quick Care. Patients requiring lab or medical imaging services should visit Barton Urgent Care or Barton Memorial Hospital.

Conservancy announces opening date for Van Sickle Bi-State Park and Tahoe Pines
Submitted by paula on Thu, 05/04/2023 - 11:02amSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Gates and facilities at Van Sickle Bi-State Park will open for the season on May 15, announced the California Tahoe Conservancy. The park’s roads, parking lots, restrooms, and drinking fountains will all become available for visitors, and trash collection will resume.
The Conservancy co-manages the 725-acre Van Sickle Bi-State Park with Nevada State Parks. The park offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and the historic Van Sickle ranch barn and cabins.
