Students around the Lake Tahoe basin are going to enjoy another Snow Day on Friday. The following closures are in place:
Lake Tahoe Unified: For the safety of our students and staff
All Schools Will be CLOSED today due to Road and Continuing Blizzard conditions.
All Douglas County School District schools are CLOSED for today.
Incline Village schools are closed.
Tahoe Truckee Schools: Today March 02, 2018 is a snow day, all schools are closed. All school activities are cancelled unless notified otherwise. Office and support staff members should only report to work if conditions allow later in the day. Transportation fleet maintenance, custodial, maintenance, technology, and certain facilities staff members should try to report to work as soon as possible. Contact your supervisor if you have questions about reporting to work. Be safe today!
From Lake Tahoe Community College: Lake Tahoe Community College will be closed on Friday March 2 due to a continuing winter storm that is dumping considerable amounts of snow both at the lake level and over mountain passes, making driving to campus potentially treacherous for students and staff. Continuing whiteout conditions, strong winds and hazardous driving environments led college leadership to call for a closure. Students should check with their individual instructors to find out about any required work or makeup classes for their courses.
Due to snow and poor road conditions, today Friday March 2nd is a snow day for students in the Pollock Pines Elementary School District. Enjoy a three day weekend and stay safe. Classes will resume Monday.
Sierra Nevada College has closed their Incline Village campus due to snow.
