The South Lake Tahoe Recreation Division is gearing up for another summer season full of adventure, learning, fun and great memories. The Recreation staff is proud to host the annual “Spring Into Summer” Kick-Off Party on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is designed to highlight summer programs, introduce recreation instructors and provide tours of the Recreation and Swim Complex in a fun and festive environment.

South Tahoe Adventure Recreation (STAR) Camp leaders will be on hand to meet prospective campers and parents as well as provide details about the many adventures campers will experience this summer such as hiking, biking, introduction to bike park riding, ice skating, archery, arts and crafts, fun with science, field trips and more. STAR camp provides an active, healthy, and safe environment for youth ages K-5th grade to learn and play. Each themed week features an authentic Tahoe adventure.

Water Safety Instructors will be available to meet and greet parents and provide information on Learn to Swim classes for all ages and abilities. A variety of fun aquatics classes are also available including water exercise, Yo-Pi-Chi and private swim lessons. Tahoe Swim Club coaches will provide information on youth competitive swimming and training programs.

Our recreation partners will join the festivities and provide demonstrations throughout the day.
