Learn about history of James Canyon Ranch at next Lake Tahoe Museum Fireside Chat

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Historical Society (LTHS) is holding their next Fireside Chat on Tuesday, November 12 at the Camp Richardson Lodge at 7:00 p.m.
This month's topic is the "History of Harvey's James Canyon Ranch."
James Canyon starts four miles east of Cave Rock at Lake Tahoe, along Genoa Peak and into Genoa, Nevada. The ranch has been owned by several well-known people including Standard Oil heir, and step-father to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Hugh Auchincloss, Jr., the "Hostess with the Mostest" from Washington D.C., Perle Mesta, Tahoe casino owner Harvey Gross, Tombstone Pizza co-founder Ron Simek, and Kathryn Crosby, the widow of entertainer Bing Crosby.
Learn the history of this ranch from LTHS board member and long-time journalist Phillip Sublett.
This event will also serve and the LTHS Fall Membership Meeting.
The cost is $3 for non-members and free for members. 2020 memberships will be available at the event, starting at $20/year and will include the evening's presentation.
