Stateline's MontBleu Names New General Manager

Stephen Ditchkus has been named the new General Manager of South Lake Tahoe's MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa. “Our plan is to combine the spectacular attractions of Lake Tahoe with the amenities of the property, with a focus on the gaming experience,” said Ditchkus. “It’s a great time to be back in Tahoe with the destination moving forward with all its improvements for visitors and locals, alike.”

Ditchkus, a 25 year hotel and gaming industry veteran, was most recently chief operating officer at Lac Courte Oreilles Casino and Lodge, a 300-employee property in Hayward, Wisc., where he guided the resort to a nearly 80 percent income growth in slots, table games, food and beverage, bingo and lodging.

His casino management background provided leadership roles in Nevada, Mississippi and Louisiana. Ditchkus cites a commitment to personal customer service as key to promoting and positioning the property as a leading gaming, entertainment and dining venue in Tahoe South. His plans are designed to complement Tahoe’s outdoor appeal with the property’s indoor amenities with an emphasis on gaming.

His gaming experience began at Lake Tahoe in 1988 where he saw a future flush with possibilities in hospitality, gaming and hotel management. He pursued his career and gained first-hand experience in all phases of operations.

He is a native of New Jersey and graduated from Florida State University. Ditchkus and his wife Kristin have two girls Alexis, 16 and Katie, 12.
