Event Date:
April 15, 2014 - 3:30pm
The expectations of tourists to South Lake Tahoe are continuously evolving, and being able to anticipate, adapt and prepare for these will be highlighted at the 2014 Tourism Forum. The April 15th event is being sponsored by the TahoeChamber, Lake Tahoe Visitor's Authority and El Dorado County.
In order to succeed as the tourists to South Lake Tahoe start to deman new services, amenities and conveniences, businesses must adopt the necessary tools to survive or risk being left behind.
The 2014 Annual Tourism Forum Tools for Success will focus on the latest trends, techniques and opportunities available to retailers, restaurants, hotels, entertainment and recreation providers to drive profits. Speakers will include experts Andy Berkenfield of Duncan/Channon and Michael Thomas of Noble Studios, as well as TahoeChamber and LTVA executive leaders. Speakers will delve into the importance and how-to of branding, leading trends in travel technology and how to make the most out of opportunities, whether perceived positive or negative.
Additional information will be provided concerning construction timelines for upcoming projects on Kingsbury Grade and Harrison Avenue, as well as recent property renovations. Attendees will depart with a tool kit that includes resources to drive their bottom lines, tips to leverage opportunities and online resources for sharing events, posting jobs and staying up-to-date about government and community affairs. This tool kit is designed to provide South Shore businesses with the elements needed to thrive in summer, winter and in between.
A reception will follow in the lobby of the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. Wine and cheese will be provided. Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel is located at 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd in South Lake Tahoe, CA.
The Annual Tourism Forum is presented in partnership with TahoeChamber, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (TahoeSouth) and El Dorado County. Tickets to the forum are just $10 for members and $15 for prospective members.
