South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos win big in April

South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos were among the top earners for Nevada casinos during month of April, netting a 14.48 percent increase in gaming profits over April 2012 figures, the state's gaming control board reports Monday.
Casinos at Stateline had a casino "win" of $5,728,649 for the month, compared to $13,739,313 in April 2012. Statewide, gaming profits in Nevada fell slightly by 0.16 percent. Nevada casinos made $854,293,047 for the month.
Elsewhere, North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 2.88 increase for the month, with a gaming "win" of $1,641,451. Carson City area casinos, which include those in Minden and Gardnerville, fell 2.66 percent, taking in April gaming profits of $7,883,290.
