Shore Shore casinos biggest loser in July; Carson Valley casinos on the plus side

Casinos on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe had a rough month in July, having their "win" of $23,853,279 down 14.76 percent from figures a year ago. Carson City, Minden and Gardnerville had a "win" of $9,529,716, up eight percent from July of 2016.

As a state, Nevada were down 1.73 percent with a "win" of $997,972,643.

The "win" represents the computed income of casinos before business expenses and taxes.

The South Shore led the state on having gaming wins down from July of 2016. The biggest gains were seen in the southern part of the state. Boulder Strip casinos had a gain of 19.34 percent with their $66,433,973 and North Las Vegas casinos had a win of $23,690,977, up 16.78 percent.

North Lake Tahoe casinos had a win figure of $3,444,096, up 3.65 percent form their take in July, 2016.

In figures released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, most areas of the state were in the black for July, just South Shore and Clark County as a whole were in the red.
