Lake Tahoe road work schedule for June 14 - June 20

Here is a list of road projects around the Lake Tahoe basin.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from the junction with State Route 89 to 3rd Street in South Lake Tahoe: Eastbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures around the clock from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Friday for gas line relocation work.
U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Blue Lake Avenue to the Nevada state line: Eastbound motorists can expect the #2 lane closed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday for drainage cleaning. Westbound motorists can expect the #1 lane closed at various locations from 6 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday and 6 p.m. Tuesday to 9 a.m. Wednesday for grinding and paving.
Project: State Route 89 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $25 million project from the "Y" junction with U.S. Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe to Cascade Road, north of Camp Richardson. Curb, gutter and sidewalks will be added in the 1.1-mile four-lane section, and the highway will be widened in the two-lane section to Visitor Center Road to provide 4-foot paved shoulders on each side. Drainage systems are also being built and the roadway will be resurfaced. Completion is expected by spring 2017.
This week: State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from the "Y" junction with Highway 50 to 12th Street: Northbound and southbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday through Friday for drainage work
Project: State Route 89 (El Dorado County): Work continues on a $20 million water-quality project from 0.1 mile north of the Eagle Falls Sidehill Viaduct No. 5 in Emerald Bay to the Meeks Creek Bridge in Meeks Bay. This project is adding new drainage features, curb and gutter in some locations, and resurfacing a nearly 7-mile stretch of the highway. Completion is expected this fall.
This week: State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from 1 Ring Road to Bliss Memorial State Park Road: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday for drainage work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Camp Sacramento to Sayles Canyon Road: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures around the clock from 12:01 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Friday for chip sealing.
Around the Lake
Project: State Route 89 (El Dorado County): Work continues on an $8 million project from Meeks Creek to Wilson Avenue in Tahoma, installing curb and gutter and drainage systems to collect and treat stormwater. The highway will also be resurfaced. Completion is expected this fall.
This week: State Route 89 (El Dorado County) from Meeks Creek to Wilson Avenue: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for roadway excavation.
Project: Work continues on a $70.1 million project from Tahoma to the "Y" junction with State Route 28 in Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore that will upgrade storm water drainage and treatment systems, add curb and gutter, resurface and realign the road, add new left-turn pockets and widen shoulders on a 9-mile stretch of the highway. Completion is expected in fall 2016.
This week: State Route 89 (El Dorado/Placer County) from South Street to Spruce Avenue: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control at various locations around the clock from 10 p.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Friday for paving, excavation and utility work.
Project: State Route 267 (Placer County): Work is set to begin on a $5.2 million project to grind and pave and make drainage improvements to a nearly seven-mile stretch of State Route 267 from just north of Schaffer Mill Road to Brockway Summit. Completion is expected by the end of September.
This week: State Route 267 (Placer County) from the Nevada County line to Carnelian Bay Avenue: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday for drainage work.
Project: State Route 28 (Placer County): Work continues on Placer County’s $50 million Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project from State Route 267 to Chipmunk Street. The project is installing curb and gutter, sidewalks, roundabouts, lighting and drainage systems to enhance pedestrian and bicycle mobility, improve safety and provide water-quality improvements. Completion is expected this fall.
This Week: State Route 28 (Placer County) from the junction with State Route 267 to Bear/Brook Street: Eastbound motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday for curb, gutter and sidewalk work. During the same time, westbound motorists can expect the #1 lane closed from Coon Street to Chipmunk Street.
