Learn about the best Lake Tahoe hikes at the next Taylor Creek event

Join Tahoe Heritage Foundation and the US Forest Service for the Friday Evening Program Summer series. This Friday July 8, Tracy Salcedo-Chourre, author of Best Easy Day Hikes Lake Tahoe, as she shares her knowledge of the amazing hiking trails around Lake Tahoe. This event will be held at Taylor Creek Visitor Center at 8:30 p.m. and is open to the public. There is a $5.00 donation to the Tahoe Heritage Foundation.

Tracy Salcedo-Chourre has written more than twenty FalconGuides to destinations from California to Colorado. Salcedo-Chourre was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and started writing articles for local newspapers while earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of California. After having her twin boys, she turned to writing guides suitable for families. Along with Best Easy Day Hikes Lake Tahoe Salcedo-Chouree has written many other guide books such as Hiking Waterfalls in Northern California and Best Hikes Near Reno-Tahoe.

Tahoe Heritage Foundation, a non-profit that partners with the Forest Service to preserve the culture and natural history of Lake Tahoe, hosts this event at the Lake of the Sky Amphitheater. Taylor Creek Visitor Center is located approximately 3 miles north of South Lake Tahoe on the lakeside of Highway 89. The Visitor Center entrance is just past the entrance to the Tallac Historic Site and Fallen Leaf Lake Road. Dogs are permitted only on leash.
