Rainbow Sprinkles to reopen in South Lake Tahoe

Have you missed your dose of doughnuts and frozen yogurt? No longer do you have to wait as Rainbow Sprinkles is reopening at the Y in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday, January 16 at 6:00 a.m.

After their first year in business the owners closed for a couple of weeks to make some changes and are now excited to see the customers they've missed.

"We love our customers and can't wait to see them again!" said co-owner Salli Ross-Filgo. "We wanted to say how grateful we are to this community for their support. We have had the honor of serving so many wonderful people."

Sallie and Jody Filgo are owners of the popular shop in the South Y Center, and they will now have Rainbow Sprinkles open for winter hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. They will be closed Mondays.

"We will have two yogurt flavors in the winter, chocolate and vanilla," said Sallie. "We are bringing in some exciting new items, too!"

The community oriented business has a "seniors only" section for the over 65 set, along with dozens of donations to groups and events.

"We really loved being able to help out in some small ways to the ones who needed us," said Sallie.

Rainbow Sprinkles Donuts and Yogurt are located at 1036 Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe, California next to Raley's.
