LAKE TAHOE, Nevada - There is a planned electrical outage in the Stateline area Wednesday so crews can continue to work on the underground vault that exploded Sunday, April 1.
NV Energy estimates that power will be out for the 18 customers in the area until about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday night.
Their crews had to reroute service in order to de-energize the vault while they repair the damaged unit.
For current estimates of power being restored, visit https://www.nvenergy.com/outages-and-emergencies/view-current-outages.
Westbound lanes remained closed on Highway 50 through the area but eastbound lanes are open. Those heading west are rerouted along Lake Parkway and Stateline Avenue, or Park Avenue.
