COVID-19 case update for Lake Tahoe area counties

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. -El Dorado County health officials say another seven residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday. Of those, three are in each the Lake Tahoe Region and Greater Placerville and 1 in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue. In this group of new cases are one under the age of 18, three aged 18-49, one aged 50-64 and two aged 65 or older.
Another 434 people were tested for the coronavirus and 427 negative tests results were received.
There have been another 17 assumed recoveries. There has been no change in hospitalizations/ICU (0/0) and there are no suspected cases of COVID-19 in the hospital.
To date, two residents have died.
El Dorado County is currently in the red/substantial tier of reopening. To move to the orange/moderate tier, the average daily rate of new cases needs to be four per 100,000 residents, and positivity rate of less than five percent for the previous two weeks. See more HERE.
The County dashboard shows cases by episode date, not by the date El Dorado County Public Health was notified about the new case. Episode date is the earliest of the following dates: (symptom onset date, diagnosis date, specimen collection date, date received, or date of death) and serves as the best approximation of the date of infection.
The 7-day positivity rate for El Dorado County is 2.0 percent, and the 14-day rate of new cases is 52 (-4). The Lake Tahoe region just moved from the High (case rate per 100,000 population over the previous 14 days of 100 or greater) to moderate with much of the rest of the county (case rate per 100,000 population over the previous 14 days of 26-99). Two areas are now in the low range (25 or less per 100,000 for last 14 days).
County-wide there have been 1,008 cases with 450 of those in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

We are reporting 24 new cases and 30 recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 1,091, with 974 recoveries and 15 deaths, 102 cases remain active.

Washoe County
The Regional Information Center is reporting 238 new COVID-19 cases and four new deaths in Washoe County since Friday.

Estimated recoveries: 6,435 (+138)
Active cases: 1,164 (+96)
Currently hospitalized: 44 (-49)
Cases who have discharged from hospital: 590 (+46)
77 (+1) of the confirmed cases to date are in Incline Village with 6 (+1) active ones, and 0 active and two recovered cases in Crystal Bay.
Placer County
There have been 65 new cases of confirmed COVID-19 in Placer County on Saturday and Sunday. The County did not update their figures on Monday
Lake Tahoe area cases - 23 (+0) are in Tahoe City, 78 (+0) in Kings Beach, 8 (+0) in Olympic Village, 17 (+0) in Truckee, 7 (+0) in Carnelian Bay.
Their seven-day test rate is 6.1 percent positive, and average daily case rate for last 7 days is 5.7 per 100,000. Seven-day increase is 4.6 percent, 14-day increase is 14.1 percent.
