SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join Liberty Utilities at a presentation at the South Lake Tahoe Library about the basics and the future of electric vehicles (EVs) on September 24 at 5 p.m.

As more EVs are being spotted in the Lake Tahoe basin, both personal cars and public transportation, more charging stations have been added to handle their potential future.

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club is hosting Matt Newberry from Liberty Utilities when he joins them at the library to talk about EV basics and answer any questions the public may have about these vehicles.

The Cardigan Classic filmed at Edgewood Tahoe pits Jimmy Fallon vs. DJ Khaled

LAKE TAHOE, Nev. - Jimmy Fallon and DJ Khaled were at the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe in July, not to compete in the annual celebrity tournament, but to face off in a head-to-head special challenge.

Even though rain tried to cancel their match, the hung out on the course and the rain stopped just in time for their golfing on holes 17 and 18. The match will air on NBC on Friday, September 13 at 11:35 p.m. The special will stream the next day on Peacock and air on Golf Channel beginning on Monday, September 16.

This is one of my “go-to” recipes when I want something tasty that I can throw together in a hurry.

Grilled Green Beans with Peppers and Onions

2 red bell peppers, cut lengthwise in half, seeds removed

1 medium red onion, cut crosswise into ¼-inch slices

2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. olive oil

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. pepper

2 lbs. green beans, trimmed

This visit was to The Woods for Happy Hour. On an overall scale of 1-5 Bites, The Woods earned a 3.75.

Shishito peppers are a delightful variety of peppers originating from Japan.  They have a unique flavor profile that is sweet, slightly smoky, and generally very mild. However, about one in every ten can surprise you with a spicy kick. The heat is not overwhelming, but it can be surprising, which adds allure and popularity to this pepper.

The USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) along with partners at Heavenly Mountain Resort, invites the public to Hike with a Ranger beginning Friday, July 26, 2024. Hikes take place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the top of the Heavenly Gondola. The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is holding its next Tahoe History Talks on the Beach on Tuesday, July 23, and the topic is "I Got Bombed at Harvey's." That saying was quickly put onto t-shirts and sold through South Lake Tahoe.
