TODAY’S WEATHER (NWS GREATER LAKE TAHOE AREA): Expect Sunny Skies. Highs: 42F to 52F. Light winds becoming southwest up to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Lows: 24F to 29F Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Ridge gusts up to 50 mph increasing to 65 mph after midnight.
FRIDAY: Chance of snow and rain in the morning, then snow with rain likely in the afternoon. Snow level rising to 7000 feet. Snow accumulation up to 7 inches above 7500 feet. Highs: 42F to 52F. South winds 10 to 15 mph increasing to southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph in the afternoon. Ridge gusts up to 80 mph increasing to 100 mph in the afternoon.

WHAT TO WEAR: Dress in layers with a Gore-Tex Jacket or outer Shell. Take a hat or beanie and wear a Helmet for Safety. Also wear Good Sunglasses or Goggles and warm gloves. Don’t forget to use Sunscreen & Chapstick when the sun is out and Stay Hydrated at altitude!
