Southern Rock and Blues at Live at Lakeview Thursday

Event Date:
June 28, 2018 - 4:30pm

It's time for week two of the summer-long music series on the beach in South Lake Tahoe, Live at Lakeview.

On Thursday, June 28 from 4:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m., music will fill the shores at Lakeview Commons as two Tennessee artists perform.

Jack Berry, an artist with “a voice that could scare the venom out of a rattlesnake,” as Consequence of Sound describes it, makes his Live at Lakeview debut this Thursday. This Nashville-based alt/blues rocker happens to

originally be from Reno, Nevada so his headlining show is both a homecoming and a debut.

A Tennessee native, Erick Baker, makes his California debut opening the show at 4:30 pm. The Daily Times of Blount County, Tennessee reported that Baker “has built a career out of peeling back the skin and bones that surround his beating heart. On record and on the stage, he mines its seemingly endless canyons and crevices for
all of the things it’s taught him about love, and he shares those secrets with a fan base that marvels at his vulnerability and tenderness.” He’s shared the stage with James Blunt, Gaven DeGraw, Brandi Carlile and Heart, to name a few.

“This week is extra special because I get to bring a side of Nashville’s music scene that not many people get to experience!” states Leslie Schultz of On Course Events. “Beyond the honky-tonks and Country Music Nashville is famous for, there’s an alt/blues rock scene that’s on fire. Jack Barry is right on top of that indie scene and we’re so lucky to have him join us!”

Live at Lakeview is a free weekly concert series held every Thursday (June 21-August 30) that hosts live music and art on the beach, along with a variety of local merchants and delicious food options plus amphitheater style seating and
breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe from the beer garden. Proceeds from the beer garden will continue to support South Tahoe BMX Association.

Sierra-at-Tahoe and the City of South Lake Tahoe have joined On Course Events to put on this seventh season of Live at Lakeview.

Parking is limited around the venue; however, a complimentary bike valet service is offered every week, in loving memory of Rocky Heether. Biking (with proper lighting) and carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Additional parking is available at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center (1601 Rufus Allen Blvd.) Please be aware the City of South Lake Tahoe has closed partial access to the beach for safety precautions from the effects of a lake at full capacity. A portion of the beach will remain accessible from the stairway, as safety permits.
