SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - For the past three years, the Tahoe Coalition for the Homeless has held their Homebrew for the Homeless in the Carson Valley. This year they are moving the event to South Lake Tahoe and combining it with a family-friendly Tahoe Beach Bash on Saturday, July 28 from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Tahoe Beach Retreat.
Adults will enjoy tasting 12 different homebrews and voting for the winner. Tahoe Blue Vodka will also be there sampling their signature Moscow mules. The Boisset Collection, Crystal Basin Cellars and Hatcher Winery will be pouring wine and champagne. Other beers will be available from Kona Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Lake Tahoe Aleworx, and Sierra Nevada Brewing.
There will also be live music, homebrew beer competition, lakeside BBQ, bounce house, local vendors, child-friendly obstacle course, and other entertaining activities for people of all ages.
Tickets are available online until Friday July 27.
General entry tickets are $20 per person, which includes all activities and live music, as well as food and non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets for children under 12 are $10, with children 5 and under entering for free. Tickets for the poker run which includes homebrew tasting (open to those 21 and over) are $40, including general entry.
For more information and to purchase tickets, visit http://tahoehomeless.org/events/. Limited tickets will be available at the event and you are encouraged to purchase in advance.

Sunshine Yellow Taxi will offer 20% off all rides to and from the event between 12:00 pm-5:00 pm. Sunshine Yellow Taxi offers door-to-door service throughout the greater South Lake Tahoe area. There is also BlueGo which has a stop across the street at Safeway and next door at CVS.
