Submitted by paula on Mon, 06/22/2020 - 5:44pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - El Dorado County health officials have announced 15 new cases of COVID-19 since Friday, bringing the total to 145.
The new cases are nine males, six females, seven ages 18-49, five in the 50-65 age group, and three 65 and older.
There were nine new cases in the Lake Tahoe region, three in Greater Placerville, two in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs, and one in El Dorado Hills. Since the local casinos opened on June 4 there have been 48 new cases of the coronavirus in the Lake Tahoe region of El Dorado County.

Of the three females and one male, one was under 18, one between 18-49, and three in the 50-64 age group.
There were no new recoveries leaving 30 active cases. There are no hospitalizations but there are three patients in the ICU with suspected COVID-19.

Submitted by paula on Thu, 06/18/2020 - 5:28pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County public health officials are reporting another four confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, all from the Lake Tahoe region.
All of the new cases are in the age group of 18-49 and are three males and one female. This brings the current number of confirmed cases to 125. With one new recovery, the active number of cases is 25.
There are no current hospitalizations but two suspected cases of COVID-19 are in the hospital.
229 more people have been tested, bringing that total to 8,669.

Of the new cases, two are male, one is female and all are under the age of 17.
There have been no new recoveries and that number remains at 99, leaving 22 active cases. There are no hospitalizations at this time but there is one suspected case in the ICU.

Submitted by paula on Tue, 06/16/2020 - 7:07pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There was one new confirmed case of COVID-19 in El Dorado County Tuesday, a male in the 18-49 age group. This brings the total of cases to 118.
There have been an additional four recovered (99), leaving 19 active cases. There are currently no patients in the hospital with confirmed COVID-19 but there are two suspected positive patients in the ICU.
There were an additional 166 tests administered in the county Tuesday.
There have been 57 cases in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

Submitted by paula on Mon, 06/15/2020 - 5:15pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - There have been four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County since Friday, two in the Lake Tahoe region and two in El Dorado Hills. Of the new cases, one is male, three are female, three are aged 18-49 and one is in the 50-64 age group.
Four more recoveries were announced by health officials, bringing the total to 95. There remain 22 active cases. There are no hospitalizations at Barton or Marshall at this time but there are four patients in the ICU with suspected cases according to Public Tableau.
425 new tests were administered in the County.

There were 52 new tests administered, bringing the total given to 7591.
Since Thursday there has been one new recovery and no hospitalizations. There is currently one suspected case of COVID-19 in the ICU.
There have been 54 cases in the Lake Tahoe area (including South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Strawberry, and Tahoma).

There are no hospitalizations of confirmed COVID-19 cases at this time in the county but there is one suspected case in one of the county's 174 licensed beds.
An additional 171 tests were administered, bringing that total to 7,539.

To date, there have been 87 recoveries, leaving 24 active cases at this time.
An additional 199 people were able to be tested since Tuesday, bringing the total of tests to 7,368.

An additional 444 people were able to be tested since Friday, bringing the total of tests to 7,169.
One new patient has been admitted into the ICU. With 15 new recoveries, there are now 22 active cases.

Of the new cases, three are male one is female, and one is under the age of 18, two in the 18-49 age group, and one in the 50-64 age group.
There have been four more recoveries, bringing that total to 72 leaving 34 active cases.
One person remains in the ICU and there have been no additional hospitalizations.

This brings the total of cases in the county to 102. There have been no new recoveries, leaving 34 active cases. The only hospitalization at time is a patient in the ICU county-wide.

All are male, three aged 18-49 and three 50-64.
Two more have recovered, bringing that total to 67. One person is still hospitalized county-wide in the ICU and there are 29 active cases.
An additional 289 people were tested since Friday, 6,348 since the pandemic started.

Five of them are from the same household and are contacts to a known case. The new cases are two male, four female, two under the age of 17, the rest are in the 18-49-year-old range.
There were no new hospitalizations Friday, leaving one confirmed case in the hospital, one in the ICU.
Four new recoveries are being reported, bringing that total to 65. There are 25 active cases remaining.

One is aged 18-49 and the other two are in the 50-64-year-old age group. 84 people have now tested positive for the coronavirus in the county.
Two more have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 61.
Ninety more tests were conducted Thursday with a total now of 5,955 tests administered.

She is in the 18-49-year-old age group. There has now been a total of 81 reported cases of COVID-19 to date.
There were two new recoveries today, bringing the total number to 59. There are 22 active cases and no hospitalizations or ICU cases reported for confirmed patients. Two people are currently in the ICU in El Dorado County that are suspected of having COVID-19 as well as two hospitalized with suspected COVID-19.

There have now been 80 cases of COVID-19 in the county. Currently there is one in the ICU and another hospitalized (from which region is not shared). There are currently 23 active cases.
To date, there have been 5,672 tests conducted, 174 of them Tuesday. There were no reported new recoveries.

The new cases are one from Greater Placerville, one from Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue, and two from the Lake Tahoe Region.
They are three women, one male, three in the 18-49-year-old group, and one from the 50-64-year-old group.
Recoveries remained the same at 57, leaving 21 active cases. One person in the county with a confirmed case is in the ICU and there are currently four suspected cases in the ICU county-wide.

There was a jump in COVID-19 cases Friday in El Dorado County with the first diagnosed cases in the 0-17 age group. Since Thursday there were seven new confirmed cases, six in this younger group and one in the 18-49 age group. All of these cases are from the same household of a person with an earlier positive case.

179 more people were tested in the county with a total now of 3,903. The goal of health officials is 132 per day. There are two free testing sites for those without symptoms in the county that will test anyone with an appointment, one in Shingle Springs and the other in South Lake Tahoe.
There have now been 52 recoveries and there are currently 12 active cases in the county.

To date, 3,724 tests for the virus have been administered, an addition of 320 since yesterday. There were no new recoveries and currently there are 11 active cases.

This brings the total number of cases to 60, with 50 recoveries and ten active cases. To date, 3,324 tests have been administered to residents with 131 of those new Tuesday.

They are both in South County, one male, one female, 65+ and 18-49. This brings the total in the county to 56. There have been three new recoveries, so now 48, and eight active cases. To date, 3,193 residents have been administered tests in the county, with 258 since Friday.

Residents have been given an additional 178 tests, including those administered and the two new stations in Shingle Springs and South Lake Tahoe. There are currently nine active cases with no new recoveries.

Submitted by paula on Sun, 05/03/2020 - 10:58pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County officials announced Sunday they will open two appointment-only community sites for COVID-19 testing for any resident wanting to be tested for the virus, one in South Lake Tahoe and the other in Shingle Springs.
These sites follow Governor Newsom's announcement last week to add more than 80 community COVID-19 testing sites across the state, focusing on underserved communities. His goal is to test 60,000 to 80,000 people per day for the virus as the state prepares to reopen.

Submitted by paula on Fri, 05/01/2020 - 6:12pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Since yesterday, the El Dorado County Public Health Department has reported three new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the county told to 47.
Health officials say just one of those cases in actually new, and the other two were listed in the Sacramento County figures. Their identification showed a P.O. Box in Sacramento, but they actually live in El Dorado Hills. Both have since recovered.

The County tested 90 more people, bringing the total to 2,140 tests.

There were no new cases on Wednesday, with 44 total positive tests in the county. The new case is a male from South County aged 50-64, bringing the total testing positive in the county to 44. He was the first South County resident to test positive.
The County tested 60 more people Tuesday, bringing the total of residents being tested to 2000.
One more person has recovered and there are five active cases.

Submitted by paula on Mon, 04/27/2020 - 5:27pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Since Friday, one new person has tested positive for COVID-19, this time a Lake Tahoe area man in the 18-49 age group, bringing the total of people who have tested positive in El Dorado County to 43. Two hundred additional tests have been issued in El Dorado County.
One more person has recovered, leaving five active cases of COVID-19.

Both of the new cases are women in the 50-64 age group. One is from El Dorado Hills and the other from the Cameron Park/Shingle Springs/Rescue area. There have also been two recoveries.
Since Thursday, 40 more tests have been administered. So far, 1,1740 tests for the virus have been given with 1,698 coming back as negative or results are still outstanding.

Submitted by paula on Thu, 04/23/2020 - 5:09pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - One Lake Tahoe area resident has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the area's total up to 14 and the El Dorado County total up to 40.
Since Wednesday, 45 new tests for the virus have been administered, bringing the total tested to 1,700.
One more person has recovered and to date, 35 people have recovered.
The new case is a male in the 18-49 age group from the Lake Tahoe region. The Lake Tahoe region of the County includes South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Kyburz, and Tahoma.

The statistics also remained the same for recoveries (34). 1,655 people have been tested, 35 additional people and 1,616 tests have been returned as negative or results are pending.

Submitted by paula on Tue, 04/21/2020 - 4:35pmSOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - El Dorado County is reporting one new case of COVID-19. A woman in the 50-64-year-old age group from El Dorado Hills tested positive on Tuesday, April 21.
This brings the total number of cases in El Dorado County to 39. Three more people have recovered from the virus, bringing that total to 34. Thirty more people were tested for coronavirus today. To date, 1,620 people have been tested with 1,581 negative or pending.
The Lake Tahoe region of the County (Kyburz to South Lake Tahoe, Meyers to Tahoma) has 13 cases.
Two new cases of COVID-19 in Lake Tahoe region of El Dorado County
Submitted by paula on Mon, 04/20/2020 - 3:21pmEL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - There have been two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in El Dorado County, both in the Lake Tahoe region which includes Meyers and South Lake Tahoe.
One male, one female in the 18-49-year-old range were confirmed over the weekend. Their ages dropped the median age of positive cases from the age of 49 to 47.
This brings the total positive tests in the county to 38.
The county reports 130 new tests administered, and no new recoveries. To date, 1,590 tests have been administered with 1,552 coming back as negative or are pending.

On the positive side of things, two more people have recovered. There have been 36 reported cases with 31 recoveries.
